Dia 23

The walk today was very pleasant despite the heat.  We meandered our way through woodland and are seeing more eucalyptus trees the closer we get to Santiago.  If you shut your eyes and take a deep breath you could imagine that you are walking in the Dandenongs at the height of summer.

We only passed through one large town today, Melide. This is the view from the church on the way out of town.

Just outside Melide I came across a roadside stall – The Little Oasis – where the Senora was selling all sorts of berries picked in the adjacent fields.  1 Euro a punnet.

A little later I found a great use of a CHEP pallet.  Seating for the BBQ areas on site?

We are now staying in another Casa Rural Just outside of Arzua. Very peaceful indeed.

Only two more walking days before we find ourself standing in front of the Cathedral in Santiago!!!
