Dia 24

We had another relatively easy walk through woodlands today.  We have left all the larger towns behind us so wove our way through 3 valleys passing through small villages.

The way is busy with groups of Spanish teenagers so we have lost the peacefulness of our earlier weeks.  Tomorrow will be even worse as people are bussed in to just walk the last day.

The gum trees have become ubiquitous.  They are very controversial as they are plantation crops for the paper industry and in the eyes of many locals they are destroying the historical rural landscapes of both Spain and Portugal.

One of our cafe pit stops.

One more day, well done you. Youre an
inspiration. Do you have to walk back to the start or will you be taking it easy after that….
