Dia 29

Our last day in Santiago de Compostela.  Our apartment agent Elena told us that we needed to see the staircase at the Museum of the Galician People, so we headed off after breakfast.  It turned out to be an amazing triple spiral – three separate spiral staircases that all led to different rooms on each floor. Whacky.

The museum had exhibits covering all the historic aspects of Galician life and was very interesting.  The building was an old monastery and the grounds were also open as a public park so we had a nice wander around.

We then had lunch at another of Elena’s suggestions, Casa Felisa and were able to eat in the lovely garden behind the restaurant.  So, a pretty quiet lazy Sunday for us before we catch the early train to Madrid tomorrow morning.
